From pop artist to advocate for maternal and child care
We are proud to welcome Anna Speller as the official ambassador of Gangarru Group. Anna, known for her versatile career as a singer and actress, is now dedicating her artistic talent and passion to a mission that closely aligns with her personal life story: improving the well-being of mothers and their children worldwide.
A musical journey with meaning
Anna’s musical journey began at a young age. After her breakthrough as a member of the pop group K-otic, she went on to grow as both a singer and actress in productions such as Het Glazen Huis and Feuten. But it was motherhood — of her daughters Maeve and Sadé — that forever changed her artistic vision and led her to focus on children’s music.
In December 2024, Anna’s path crossed with that of Gangarru Group during a chance encounter. It was a moment where two worlds came together: Anna’s passion for children’s music and Gangarru’s mission to improve neonatal care through specially developed baby carriers based on the principles of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC).
“Carry Me”: Music with a mission
Inspired by the work of Gangarru Group, Anna wrote the song Carry Me in collaboration with Alexander van Popta. The track is a musical translation of our mission to raise awareness about infant mortality among premature babies and the importance of Kangaroo Care, a method recommended by the World Health Organization.
As ambassador, Anna will use her voice and platform to amplify our message both in the Netherlands and internationally. Her involvement extends from musical contributions to active participation in projects in Tanzania and Uganda, where Gangarru Group is partnering with various aid organizations.
A voice for the little ones
In the coming years, Anna will be closely involved in various Gangarru initiatives, including musical workshops, fundraising, and special events. Her creative input and passion for children’s well-being make her the ideal ambassador for our mission.

Anna Speller has been the official ambassador of Gangarru Group since May 2025. As part of this collaboration, she is developing special music that supports Gangarru’s mission and is participating in projects in both the Netherlands and abroad.
